Age 94 of Joliet, and a recent resident of Park Pointe in Morris, passed away Thursday afternoon, September 17, 2015 at Morris Hospital.

Born January 15, 1921 in Dexter, Missouri, Llewlyn was a daughter of the late Raymond and Emma Elizabeth (Boyer) Webber. Following high school she was employed with the US Government prior to marrying Joseph E. Burch. Together Joseph and Ellen made their home in Joliet during the 1950's, and Joseph later preceded her in death in 1993. Ellen was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Joliet and enjoyed puzzles, crosswords, watching television and people watching. She was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan, and took great pleasure in spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include five children: Robert (Mandy) Burch of Coqueto, Oregon, Paul (Kit) Burch of Everett, Washington, Dave Burch of Coal City, Michael (Ruth) Burch of Seattle, Washington and Patrick (Marji) Burch of Ashland, Oregon; numerous grandchildren; great grand children and great-great grandchildren; one sister Rosalie (Bill) Turner of Freeport, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; husband Joseph; sister Mary (Otto) Osterburg; brother Raymond (Ernestine) Webber, Jr. and daughter-in-law Mary Burch.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Robert Noesen will officiate.

Pallbearers will be: Paul Burch, Dave Burch, Michael Burch, Patrick Burch, Jeff Burch and Keith Scerine.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and a private family inurnment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Ellen's memory to her family for distribution to local charities of their choosing.
