Elizabeth C. Struck

Elizabeth C. Struck, 93, of Morris, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Park Pointe Healthcare & Rehab Center in Morris with her family by her side.
Born July 28, 1929 in Morris she was the daughter of William and Minnie (Dunlop) Cromwell. She graduated from St. Angela Academy. She married Joseph Struck on October 9, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. They lived all of their married life in Morris. For several years she was employed at Hornsby’s Store in Morris and later worked for Grundy County Senior Services for 10 years.
She is survived by her children, Joseph (Gayla) Struck of Plano, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Struck of Morris and Lawrence (Janet) Struck of Morris; seven grandchildren, Alex and Vanessa Struck, Marjorie and John Struck, Brian (Katie) Aichele, Phillip (Demi) Struck and Gregory (Fiancee, Melissa) Struck; four great grandchildren, Drake and Remi Aichele and Gannon and Gracelyn Struck; numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Joseph in 1999; one sister, Patricia Taylor; two brothers, William and George Cromwell.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and sang in the church choir for years.
She was an amazing cook and her family looked forward to her baking their favorite cookies for birthdays. Elizabeth enjoyed playing her Hammond organ for many years and sharing her love for music. Her pride and joy was watching her grandchildren grow up.
Memorials may be given to Lightways Hospice or Immaculate Conception School.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Jason Stone officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fruland Funeral Home.
