Age 62, of Morris, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Loyola University Hospital in Maywood, Illinois.
Born on July 16, 1962 in Pineville, Kentucky, Elizabeth was a daughter of Orate and Juanita (Taber) Miller. Affectionately known as “Liz,” she began her life in Kentucky before relocating to Morris, where she made her home and a meaningful life. She worked as a fabricator of vending machines, dedicating herself to her craft and her community. A past member of the Morris Moose Lodge, Liz also attended Peace Lutheran Church, where she found faith and fellowship.
Liz had a heart as vast as the countryside she loved. Helping others was more than a hobby for her—it was her way of life. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Liz found joy in the simple things: the tranquility of fishing, the beauty of gardening, and the peace of being in the country. She cherished her time around horses, whose gentle spirit mirrored her own. Liz also loved singing and dancing, her vibrant energy lighting up every room she entered.
Above all, Liz was a devoted and loving mother who gave to the best of her ability. Though she never fully realized the profound impact she had on those around her, her kindness and unwavering support were deeply felt by all who knew her.
Survivors include her daughter, Cassandra Miller (Matt Ehrman) and siblings: Lisa Nelson, Christina Miller and Orate “James” Miller.
