"Betty"

Age 91 of Coal City, passed away Monday March 02, 2009 at Walnut Grove in Morris.

Born December 14, 1917 in Coal City, Betty was a daughter of the late Anton and Anna Bates-Veronda. She married John Kauzlaric and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1991. Betty was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, as well as belonged to the "Caring Friends Group".

Survivors include one son Robert (Rosa Lee) Wicks of Braidwood; two grandchildren: Shawn Wicks of Idaho Springs, Colorado and Melanie Lee of Diamond; two great grandchildren: Jordan Lee and Jade Lee; one brother Domenic Veronda and one sister-in-law Helen Veronda, both of Coal City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband John in 1991; one brother Anton Veronda, Jr. and one sister Lillian Unger.

Visitation will be held on Friday March 06, 2009 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City.

Funeral services will follow on Saturday March 7th at 10:00AM in Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Ron Hart Officiating.

Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington and pallbearers will be: David Veronda, Danny Veronda, Dean Veronda, Jeff Veronda, Joe Veronda and Gary Unger.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Betty's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
