Age 99 and a life long resident of Gardner, passed away Saturday evening January 28, 2012 at Walnut Grove Village in Morris.

Born February 16, 1912 in Gardner, Eleina was a daughter of the late Tracy and Mary Lauridsen-Storm. Family, grandkids and great grandkids were the true joys of Eleina's life, and she loved attending the kids activities. Eleina enjoyed canning fruits and vegetables for over 80 years from when she began at the age of 15 until the age of 95. She also gardened and raised strawberries and raspberries. Eleina will be remembered for her cooking and baking, and was known for her pot roast and pumpkin pies. She was a member of the Church of Hope in Gardner.

Survivors include her three children: Earla Mae (Ray) Bell of Wyoming and Marjorie Flynn and Mary Black both of Wilmington; Grandchildren: Doug Warriner and Kandi (Jay) Cocream of Morris, James Flynn, Mark (LaRae) Flynn and Lanette (Dion) Tjelle of Wilmington, Rodney (Jodi) Flynn of Bonfield, Ginger (Chuck) Wuchter of Wilmington, Phil Cryder of Chicago, Owen (Michelle) Black of Hennepin and Shelly Black of Wilmington; twenty-four great grandchildren: Dougie, J.R., Ashley, Danielle, Derek, Shana, Skylar, Landon, Mikie, Simone, Tara, Brooke, Dillon, Devin, Becca, Chelsey, Katie, Hayley, Allison, Cody, Garrett, Chandler, Lexi and Phoenix; one brother: Robert (Connie) Storm of Gardner and two sisters: Lorraine Willhoit of Diamond and Dolly Morrison of Arizona, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eleina was preceded in death by her parents; husband Alvin "Ab" Douglas on August 20, 1984; son-in-law: Randy Black; one grandson Michael in infancy and brothers and sisters: Hans (Margaret) Storm, Earl (Marion) Storm, Ernie (Marge) Storm, Martin (Mildred) Storm, Tracy (Sharon) Storm, Jr., Marion Storm, Marge (Chuck) Basham and Mabel Wheeler.

The family will receive friends on Thursday February 9, 2012 from 4:00PM until time of memorial service 7:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 203 Liberty Street in Gardner. Pastor Jan Chandler from Church of Hope will officiate.

A private family inurnment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Dwight, where Eleina will be laid to rest next to her husband Alvin.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Eleina's memory to The Church of Hope, 202 Monroe Street, Gardner, Illinois 60424.
