Elaine M. Squellati
Age 89 of Coal City, passed away Tuesday evening, August 9, 2016 at Park Point Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Morris.
Born September 5, 1926 in Coal City, Elaine was a daughter of Charles Joseph and Catherine Marie (Valtman) Swartz.. On January 30, 1945, Elaine married Angelo Anton Squellati in Assumption Catholic Church and together they lived their entire married life and raised their family in Coal City. Elaine was a member of the Coal City United Methodist Church. She loved traveling, crocheting, knitting and flower gardening.
Survivors her son Charles (Sally) Squellati of Coal City and daughter Deborah (Michael) Youskevtch of Morris; grandchildren: Paul Biros of Mazon and Ronda (Brian) Brewer and Anthony Squellati, both of Coal City; five great grandchildren: Haley Biros and Breann, Madalyn, Tyler and Sadey Brewer, all of Coal City; two sisters: Eleanore (the late Rudy) Jacklich of Coal City and Inez (the late Buddy) Patterson of North Port, Florida; one sister-in-law Margaret (the late Louis) O’Bert of Wilmington and several nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband Angelo on March 19, 2010 and one brother-in law: William (Elizabeth) Squellati.
A memorial service will be held at the Coal City United Methodist Church, 6805 East McArdle Road in Coal City on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Reverend Brad Shumaker will officiate. There will be no visitation, and a private family inurnment will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Elaine will be laid to rest with her late husband Angelo.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Elaine’s memory to the Coal City United Methodist Church Building Fund, or to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
