Eileen Marie Mill, formerly of The Woodlands, Texas, New Port Richey, Florida, Springfield, Illinois, and Coal City, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2016, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 between the hours of 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 N. Broadway in Coal City, Illinois. Funeral services will follow October 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 110 S. School Street in Braidwood, IL.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Eileen was born March 14, 1925 in Coal City, the daughter of Christopher Born and Theresa (Burla) Born. She married Melvin Mill on June 16, 1946 at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Coal City. He preceded her in death in 2015. Surviving are three children, Teresa Meaux (husband Ken) of Gonzales,  Louisiana; Robert "Bob" Mill (wife Debbie) of Maryville, Illinois; and Susan Cooper (husband Mark) of Loxahatchee, Florida; six grandchildren, Brian (Corrine) Mill, Huntington Beach, California; Jason Cooper, Loxahatchee, Florida; Eric (Lisa) Mill, St. Charles Missouri; Jenna (Zane) Moffett of Wellington, Florida; Jarred Mill of St. Louis, Missouri; and Samantha Cooper of Woodstock, Georgia; four great-grandchildren, Macy and Emily Mill, Kinley Moffett and Weston Cooper.

Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; sister Vivian Finn and brother-in-law Bill Finn; sister Thelma Wickman and brother-in-law Larry Wickman; sister Norma Jackman and brother-in-law  Melvin Jackman; brother-in-law Mervin Joneson; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.  Sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mable and Albert Treasure; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Maynard and Lorene Mill; mother-in-law and father-in-law Anna and Sealy Mill.

Mrs. Mill graduated from Coal City High School with the class of 1943. Following graduation she was employed in the Coal City area as a seamstress.  Eileen worked as a homemaker for many years while raising her children, resuming full employment for the Illinois Secretary of State’s office in Springfield, Illinois where she worked until 1973 when she and Melvin Relocated to Stone Mountain, Georgia. She later was employed by the Internal Revenue Service at their processing center in Atlanta, Georgia until she and Melvin retired to New Port Richey, FL in 1980, where they resided until 2010. In 2010, she and Melvin relocated to The Woodlands, Texas.  Eileen relocated to Baton Rouge, LA earlier this year.

Eileen was devoted to her husband Melvin for 68 years. She loved participating in retirement activities; playing bingo, golf, dancing, socializing, taking cruises and making crafts with friends.
