Eileen B. Meiferdt
Age 50 of Coal City and formerly of Joliet, passed away Wednesday July 29, 2015 at Morris Hospital.
Born December 9, 1964 in Havelock, North Carolina, Eileen Barbara is a daughter of Barbara (Touhy) Krantz of North Carolina and the late Everett Krantz. A graduate of Radford High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, Eileen was currently employed by PPM Property Management, working in Coal City, Morris and Dwight. She was an active volunteer and served on the board of directors with Grapevine Mission in Dwight. Eileen will be remembered for her love of fishing and watching her boys race.
Survivors include her fiancé Mark T. Chubb and two sons: A.J. Meiferdt and Cody Meiferdt, all of Coal City; mother: Barbara Krantz; two brothers: Everett and James; two sisters: Valerie and Jeanne; numerous nieces and nephews, including her special niece Charity and great niece Molly, and two step-children: Josh Chubb of Coal City and Megan (Derrick) Ruemler of Indiana, as well as four grandchildren: Madison, Gavin, Kolt and Clara.
Eileen was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation and video tribute will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Saturday morning, August 8th at 9:30 a.m. in Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, 245 South Kankakee Street in Coal City. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Robert Noesen officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet.
