Edward R. Pearcy, Jr.

Age 69 of Essex passed away Monday August 8, 2016 at his home.

Born April 13, 1947 in Metropolis, Illinois, Edward Ray was the son of Edward Ray Pearcy, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Gilbert-Reineking. He was raised and educated in Brookport, Illinois, and married Glenda Lee Frailey in 1965. Edward was a member of High Point Country Club in Essex, where he played many rounds of golf. He also enjoyed fishing and loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his wife: Glenda Pearcy of Essex; three children: Tammy (Todd) Togliatti of Gilbertsville, Kentucky, Charles (Deborah) Pearcy of Coal City, and Bryan (Sheila) Pearcy of Morris; six grandchildren; and one sister: Donna (Dick) Land of Brookport.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Rosealee.

Cremation rites are being accorded, and a Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held at the High Point Golf Course Clubhouse, 309 High Point Drive, in Essex, Illinois on Thursday August 18, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Cremation services and arrangements have been made under the direction and care of Reeves Funeral Homes, Ltd., 75 North Broadway, in Coal City.
