Age 25 of Danforth, passed away unexpectedly due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Saturday March 5, 2016.

Born August 28, 1990 in Joliet, Edward Herman is a son of Edward H. Black, II and the late Violet Braizer.  He was raised and educated in Gardner and Channahon; formerly held employment with U.S. Cold Storage, and was currently working at Haley Brothers for the past year.  Edward loved race cars and enjoyed fishing and 4-wheeling.  He had a very special bond with his mother and younger brother Travis, and cherished spending time with his two children.

Survivors include his father Edward Black, II of Diamond; one daughter Riley Black and one son Caiden Black; his girlfriend of 12 years and the mother of his children:  Heather Vaughn of Danforth; two brothers : Jameson Boyne of Joliet and Travis Lanham of Dwight; sister Patricia Boyne of Dwight; brother-in-law: Jeff (Traci) Vaughn of Gardner; sister- in- law: Jessica (Eric) Burgess of Clifton; his grandmother Sarah (Mark) Richards of Manhattan; grandfather Thomas (Barb) Boyne of Channahon; several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Edward was preceded in death by his mother Violet Braizer; Grandmother Bonnie Paul, and Grandfather Edward H. Black, Sr.

Visitation and video tribute will be Friday March 11, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City.  Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Edward’s memory to the family for their distribution.
