Age 86, of Wilmington, Illinois, died on March 18, 2025 at the Arc at Dwight, surrounded by loved ones.

Born on November 18, 1938, in Wilmington, Edie was a daughter of Harley and Mildred (Wright) Benge. She was raised in Wilmington and attended Saint Francis Academy, graduating with the Class of 1956. Edie married Johnny Jaudon, and together they established their home and family in Wilmington. She began her career with office work at the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant before transitioning to the security department at (either the Braidwood Nuclear Power Plant or the Dresden Generating Station.)

Edie was a proud member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington and took great pride in welcoming friends and family into her home. Edie was always offering a beverage and ensuring her guests left well-fed. She was an avid decorator for the holidays, often transforming her home to reflect the season. Edie was a devoted pet owner, with a special fondness for her dog, Stormy. She will be remembered for her feisty personality, sense of humor, and strong sense of family. Her lasting impact on those who knew her will never be forgotten.

Edie is survived by her brother, Ronald (Brenda) Benge; one sister-in-law, Joyce Benge; nieces and nephews: Laurie (Randy) Melvin, Jim (Lisa) Benge, Bob Benge, Valeria (Marcus) Montgomery, Mike (Victoria) Benge, and Ron and Jill Benge; several great-nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, and her favorite "grandson," Dylan Wager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny; two children, Pete and Debbie Jaudon; siblings, Gloria (Tom) Kunz and Jerry Benge.

Private family services will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home in Wilmington. Edie will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
