Age 69 of Braidwood formerly of Joliet, passed away Friday March 5, 2010 At Provena St. Joseph's Medical Center after a long illness. Born March 4, 1941 In Cliff Top, W.V. to the late Charles and Virginia (Ayers) Phillips also preceded In death by his former wife Ophine Thompson (1981) and three brothers Charles, Harold & Roger Phillips. Survived by his present wife Helen French of Minooka; eight children Barb (Bobby) Ray of Braidwood, Dwight Jones of Braidwood, Evelyn Jones of Rockdale, Vicky (Tom) Kolkind of Wisconsin, Anita (John) Tonelli of Braidwood, Donald Phillips of Alabama, Danielle and Eddie Phillips Jr. both of Ohio, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers Dallas & Leonard Phillips and two Two sisters Arbutus & Patricia Phillips. Former owner , operator and auctioneer of the Log Cabin Furniture Store of Joliet. And a long time member of the Carpenter's Union Local of Joliet. A gathering of friends and family on Saturday March 13, 2010 from 9:30AM until time of services at 10:30AM at the First Church of God, 1805 Laraway Rd at Briggs St (Rt 52), Joliet, IL with Pastor Carl Wagner officiating.
