Earla Mae Bell (Douglas)

Age 81 of Morris, Illinois, died Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the Gardens at Park Pointe with her children by her side.

Born May 17, 1943 in Gardner, Earla Mae was the eldest daughter of Alvin and Eleina (Storm) Douglas. She was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School with the Class of 1961. Earla Mae worked for the Social Security Administration in Kankakee for over 30 years until she retired. She was also well known as a Mary Kay Consultant for 15 years. Earla Mae married Raymond Bell on September 24, 2003. Following their marriage and her retirement they moved to Rock River, Wyoming where they spent the remainder of her years until she returned to Illinois in May of 2022. Earla Mae found great joy in working in her flower gardens, as well as sewing and baking. She loved music, especially Elvis, and would sing along and dance to her favorite tunes. Being with her family is what probably brought Earla Mae the most joy, with her grandchildren being the apple of her eye. She lived a blessed life, surrounded by so many people that loved her dearly and whom she loved as well.

Survivors include her children: Douglas (Melinda) Warriner of Diamond, Illinois, Kandi (Jay) Cockream of Morris, and her step-son, Bernie (Laura) Warriner, Jr. of Richmond, Texas; five grandchildren: Ashley (Scott) Pfeiffer of Lexington, Kentucky, Danielle (Bennett) Gulling of Yorkville, Illinois, Douglas Warriner, Jr. (Katie Wiens) of Custer Park, Illinois, Derek Cockream (Kayla Houston) of Morris, and Samantha Warriner of Houston, Texas; six great grandchildren: Ian and Tanner Cockream, Elliott and Myles Gulling, Hayden Cockream, and Magnolia Mae Gulling; two sisters: Marjorie Flynn and Mary Black, both of Wilmington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Earla Mae was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Raymond Bell.
