Earl J. Richardson, Jr.

Age 80 of Carbon Hill, passed away Tuesday April 07, 2009 at Walnut Grove Village in Morris.

Born October 03, 1928 in Cornell, Illinois, Earl was a son of the late Earl, Sr. and Edith Barton-Richardson. He was raised and educated in the Cornell and Streator area and was a graduate of Streator High School with the graduating class of 1947. On September 27, 1953 Earl married Phyllis Richard in Bethany Lutheran Church in Wenona and together they resided in Wenona, Streator and Cornell prior to moving to Carbon Hill, where they have resided for the past 36 years. Earl was employed at various automobile dealerships as a parts manager prior to his retirement. He also worked as a janitor for the Morris Moose Lodge for 10 years, where he was a member of the Loyal Order.

Survivors include his wife of 55 Years: Phyllis; two daughters: Deborah Richardson of Carbon Hill and Cheryl (Jack) Hebner of Dubai; two sisters: his twin Jeanette Weichmann of Flanagan and Esther Leheney-Lowe of Streator; one brother Thomas (Aletta) Richardson of Streator and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Betty Erschen.

The family will receive friends on Saturday April 11, 2009 from 11:00AM until time of services 1:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Pastor Jason Zobel from Shepherd of Peace Lutheran Church will officiate.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Earl's memory to The Morris Moose Lodge #967 or Walnut Grove Village Activities Department.
