Duane F. Schopp

Coach Duane F. Schopp, age 61 of Buckeye, Arizona, passed away Saturday April 7, 2012.

Duane is a son of Ida Schopp of Gardner and the late Gordon Schopp. He was born and raised in Gardner and married Kay Wahn. Duane was a runner nearly all of his life, serving as the track coach for the University of Wyoming from 1984-1997. For the past 15 years he acted as the Athletic Director for Central High School in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Survivors include his wife Kay; one son Don Schopp of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one daughter Sunrise (Travis) Bell of Buckeye, Arizona; two grandchildren: Wyatt Bell and River Bell; mother Ida Schopp of Gardner; two sisters: Evelyn (Dan) Jerbi of Gardner and Katherine Fredrick of Mazon and one brother Gordon E. Schopp of Vernal, Utah.

Per Duane's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded.
