Douglas Neil Morrow, Sr.
"Butch"
Age 71 of Wilmington passed away Sunday January 29, 2012 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born October 14, 1940 in Centerville, Iowa, Doug is a son of the late Ray Forest and Mary Lucille Benefiel-Morrow. He moved to Channahon with his family at the age of 17 and lived in the Joliet area until 1975. On July 2, 1960 Doug married Carolyn Sue Burkhart in the United Presbyterian Church in Joliet and together they moved to Wilmington in 1975, where they made their home. Doug was a member of Teamsters Local 673 for 33 years and worked for E.D. Siebert Trucking out of Naperville until his retirement in 1998. Doug was an avid outdoorsman and gamesman, who dearly loved nature and found enjoyment in deer and goose hunting. He could often be found working and gardening on his ten acre property or working on and restoring old cars and tractors. Doug loved to cook, especially for others, and was known for his homemade noodles. He was a strong and very hard worker, who had the gift to talk. Doug will forever be remembered as a guy who never knew a stranger. He was a great family man and cherished the time spend with his wife, children and grandchildren.
