Dorothy Alice Walker

Age 97 of Yorkville, passed away Sunday morning June 9, 2013 at Morris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born April 15, 1916, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Clarence E. and Alice Mason-Sanderson. She was raised and educated in the Union Mills and Kingsbury, Indiana area. Dorothy married John Walker and he preceded her on May 29, 2000. She was a homemaker most of her life and will be remembered for her love of home decorating.

Survivors include her daughter Sandra (Gary) Clark of Coal City and son John (Charlotte) Walker of Bolingbrook; granddaughter Jayme (Randall) Spitzer of Elgin and great grandchildren: Matthew Spitzer, Mark Spitzer and Alison Barr.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband and grandson John R. (Kelly) Barr of Ohio.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 11:00AM in Blackberry Cemetery in Elburn. Reverend Jim McGuire, Chaplain from Joliet Area Community Hospice will officiate.
