Dorothy Marie Enrietta

Age 96 of Morris, passed away Wednesday March 5, 2014 at Morris Hospital.

Born November 12, 1917 in rural Grundy County near Dwight, Dorothy was a daughter of the late Louis and Marie Carlena "Lena" Hansen-Beyer. At the age of three her family moved south of Dwight and Dorothy went on to be a 1934 graduate of Dwight Township High School. In 1939 she moved to Morris to keep books for Varland Implement Company. On November 6, 1948, Dorothy married John Enrietta in Morris, where they then made their home. She did bookkeeping in her home for various local companies, which included Fosen Paint Store, Morris Cemetery Association for 41 years, and Morris Lincoln Nursing Home, from where she retired after 30 years. Dorothy was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Morris and a founding auxiliary member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1024 in Morris. Dorothy will be remembered for her love of reading, music and dancing. She also took pleasure in playing cards, flower gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her two children: Sharon/"Henri" Cates (Jim Moran) of Morris and Jack Enrietta (Jaxie Bryan) of Mount Olive, North Carolina, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends - including her special friend and caregiver Julie Leiter of Morris.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband John in 1997 and three brothers: Lloyd, Don and Harold.

Dorothy's family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to all of the health care professionals at Park Point Living and Rehabilitation. The kind care shown by so many of the staff, as well as friends will be always remembered.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday March 10, 2014 from 11:00AM until time of funeral service 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Reverend Deb Percell from the First United Methodist Church of Morris will officiate.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Morris, where Dorothy will be laid to rest with her husband John. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be: Mark Enrietta, Dennis Enrietta, Jerry Rawlish, Jack Beyer, Don Jennings, Bill Cheshareck, Michelle Micetich, Karen Smyk, Kathy Bazarth, Marcia Bunting and Bobby Durando.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dorothy's memory to the Macular Degeneration Foundation, P.O. Box 531313, Henderson, Nevada 89053
