Dorothy Czuprynski

Dorothy S. Czuprynski, age 95 passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday April 20, 2021.

Born June 11, 1925, Dorothy was a lifelong resident of Chicago, and was married 58 years to Frank Czuprynski who proceed her in death. She was the strongest woman you could ever know, and loved spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards and winning on slots. Dorothy was very proud of her Polish heritage, and loved her shirt that said, “Kiss Me I’m Polish”. Christmas was her favorite holiday, there were never enough decorations or presents to give away, and she never forgot anyone. Her best years were spent at her summer home at Clear Lake, where family would visit often. In the last year, Dorothy recently traveled to Florida, Michigan, North Carolina and Arizona to spend time with family, who she loved dearly.

Loving Mother of Cheryl (the late John) Spano, Candy (the late Frank) Susarrey, Frank Jr. (Marcela), Mike (Darlene), the late Dennis (Patty), David (Beth), Geri (Jeff) Vlasicak and the late Francis Steven Czuprynski; cherished grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 13; dear sister of the late Pat Terry, the late Stephen Tyrakowski, the late Terry Zimmerman and Henry Tyrakowski; and dearest aunt of many nieces and nephews,

Burial Services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 West Hoff Road, in Elwood, Illinois.
