Doris J. Hentze (Nee Bullock)

Doris J. Hentze, age 86 of Wilmington, passed away Thursday, July 9, 2009 at the Miller Center in Kankakee. Born October 20, 1922 in Booneville, Indiana to Oscar and Marie Hanold-Bullock, Sr. She was an active member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Wilmington, the Woman's Club in Wilmington, the Garden CLub, Women of the Moose, P.E.O. Order of the Eastern Star and an avid bridge player.

Survived by her four loving children: Charlotte (Henry) Dieringer of Venice, FL, Pamela (Joseph) Ewan of Colville, WA, John of Spokane, WA and Janet Hentze of Olympia, WA; eight grandchildre: Bill (Diana) Dieringer, Jennifer (Michael) Durish, James (Kathy) Dieringer, Anne (Brian) Cecil, Sarah (Michael) Westphal, Kyle and Christie Hentze and Olivia Michalak; five great-grand hildren, Johnathan and Danielle Dieringer, Kyle and Alexis Durish, A.J. Cecil, Hope Westphal and Hayden Dieringer; two sisters: Alberta Murray of Wilmington and Sandra (John) Della Ratta of Utah; brother-in-law: Dr. William (June) Hentze as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Mel in 1996; one brother: Oscar Jr.(Delores)and one sister: Helen (Holbert) Bryan.

Memorial visitation will be held Sunday, July 12, 2009 from 12:00 moon until time of services at 1:00pm at the 1st United Methodist Church of Wilmington with Pastors Hygjae Lee and Mi'sook Yoo officiating. All friends are invited to a luncheon immediately following services at the Wilmington Masonic Lodge.

Private family inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Doris's name to the 1st United Methodist Church of Wilmington or the Kuzma Care Cottage.
