Dora Jean Rose

Age 79 of Morris, formerly Braceville, passed away Saturday May 21, 2016 at Regency Care of Morris.

Born December 19, 1936 in Taylorville, Illinois, Dora Jean was the daughter of William and Dora Hunter-McGarvey.  She was raised and educated in Taylorville, and would marry the late George E. Rose.  Dora was a member of First Christian Church in Morris, and enjoyed doing puzzles and solving crosswords, playing bingo, and visiting with her friends.

Survivors include her brother: Downs Fredrick (Lela) McGarvey of Collinsville, Alabama; one sister-in-law: Sharon McGarvey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers: Jeffery L. McGarvey and William McGarvey, Jr.

Graveside services will be Wednesday May 25, 2016 at11:00 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Morris.  Pastor Chuck Richardson will officiate.
