Donna Joan Schuster

Age 71 of Coal City, passed away Thursday November 18, 2010 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 8, 1939 in Chicago, Donna was a daughter of the late Otto and Esther Ingraham-Warnke. She was raised in Chicago and attended Caldwell Elementary School and Chicago Vocational School. On November 18, 1972, Donna married Frederick W. Schuster in Chicago and he survives. Donna's employment entailed working as a receptionist at Saint James Hospital in Chicago Heights prior to moving to Valparaiso, Indiana where she was employed in accounting and payroll. Upon making her home in Coal City, Donna then worked as a custodian at New Hope Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, and continued to sell Avon, for whom she represented for 25 years. Donna was proud to have maintained a member of the Avon Presidents Club, and in her free time enjoyed working puzzles. She was a true animal lover and can also be remembered for her passion and attentiveness to the elderly whom she could assist.

Survivors include her husband of 38 years Frederick; three sisters: Carol (Garry) Hine of Orland Park, Delores Stamp of Tinley Park and Arlene (Al) Sawicki of Chicago; sisters and brothers-in-law: Gloria Hanks of Valparaiso, Indiana, Lorraine Price of Arkansas and Peter Schuster of Arizona and numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Marvin (Dorothy) Warnke and Gus (Jenny) Warnke and one sister Lois (Dick) Kunstman.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held on Thursday December 2, 2010 at 11:00AM in New Hope Presbyterian Church, 80 North Garfield Street (at First Street) in Coal City with Reverend Heidi Johnson officiating.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Donna's memory to New Hope Presbyterian Church.
