Donna L. Nowman

Age 89 of Coal City and formerly Wilmington, passed away Friday morning, July 18, 2008 at Walnut Grove in Morris.

Born October 24, 1918 in Burwell, Nebraska, Donna was a daughter of the late John and Dora Milligan-Ward. She was the former owner/operator of Hidden Treasures Antiques in Wilmington and in her free time Donna collected dolls and loved to play bingo.

Survivors include two daughters: Linda Volk of Pontiac and Brenda (Roger) Melvin of Coal City. Seven grandchildren: Dean (Marianne) Melvin of Coal City, Teresa Holzhauer of Pontiac, Debra (Todd) Schumacher and Darren Melvin, both of Coal City, Jennie (Art) Johnson of Romeoville, Arnold Brady of Hawaii and Thomas Brady of Florida; (10) great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her first husband Eldo Brady in 1963; her second husband Bill Nowman in 1971 and one son Edwin Brady in 2002.

Funeral services for Donna will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2008 at 10:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon from the Coal City United Methodist Church will officiate the services and a private family interment will follow in Chenoa Cemetery.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Donna's memory to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, Illinois 60431.
