Age 54 of Coal City, died at home of a heart attack on March 6, 2015.

Born March 30, 1960 in Joliet, Donald William was the eldest son of the late Donald Francis and Alice Jane (McCullister) Davito. Raised and educated in Coal City, Buddy graduated Coal City High School in 1978.

His career included employment with Illinois Clay Products, Alaskan Pipeline, Comstock at Braidwood Nuclear Plant Station, mechanic at Cardinal Transportation, Alumax, mechanic with Harley-Davidson and most recently a trainer with Schneider Logistics in Shorewood.

Buddy was a proud member of the Coal City Area Club and Miners Club.

His interests included a devoted allegiance to Chicago teams the Bears and especially the Cubs! He was into shooting pool, playing softball, pontoon boating and riding his Harley-Davidson. He was a Husky enthusiast, and will be missed by his current dog, Mika.

As for his personality, he was known as kind with a teasing sense of humor; a supportive friend to many. Buddy was particularly close with his younger brother and roommate, Dean.

Survivors include brother Dean A. Davito of Coal City; one uncle John (Ginny) Davito of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; four aunts, Diane (John) Bohrer and Pat Anderson, both of Joliet; and Marilyn Campbell of Custer Park and Karen Taylor of Mesa, Arizona, in addition to many cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by his mother Alice Jane Davito on Feb. 5, 2000 and father Donald Francis Davito on Nov. 27, 2014.

Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will receive friends on Saturday, March 14, 2015 between the hours of 10: 00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 N. Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. A procession will depart the funeral home at noon, going to Mazon Brookside Cemetery, where graveside services will be held for both Buddy and his mother, Alice Jane.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Buddy's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
