Donald Raymond Jones

Age 74 of Coal City, passed away Tuesday May 11, 2010 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.

Born February 3, 1936 in West Frankfort, Illinois, Donald was a son of the late Ray and Beth Argyle-Jones. He was raised and educated in Coal City and worked for A.P. Green until his retirement. Donald was a member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in Coal City and was known for being a Chicago Cub's fan and enjoying yard work, animals, chocolate and baked goods.

Survivors include his sister Patricia Pierard of Coal City; four nieces and nephews: Vicky (Keith) Roseland, Steve (Gigi) Pierard, Scott (Cari) Pierard and Tina (Paul) Jakubowski, all of Coal City and eight great nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents Ray Roosevelt Jones and Beth Argyle a�" Jones and his brother-in-law Gerald Pierard.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 13, 2010 from 1:00PM until time of service 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Reverend Heidi Johnson from New Hope Presbyterian Church will officiate and burial will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery with Keith Roseland, Paul Jakubowski, Steve Pierard, Scott Pierard, Tim Roseland and Zack Pierard acting as pallbearers.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Donald's memory to a charity of the donor's choice.
