Donald A. Edmondson, 77, of Minooka, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Morris Hospital with his family by his side.
Born November 8, 1943 in Morris, he was the son of Allen and Evelyn (Johnson) Edmondson. He graduated from Morris Community High School with the class of 1961. For several years he owned and operated Edmondson Refrigeration Inc. He was a veteran of the U S Air Force.
He is survived by his former wife and forever friend, Alice Edmondson of Morris; his children, Amy (Joe) Burian of Westmont, Marty (Brooke) Edmondson of Downers Grove and Karen (Brian) Grenier of Dudley, MA; grandchildren, Josh Padovano, Chloe and Ethan Edmondson, Olivia Edmondson, Madeline and Gavin Grenier; beloved canine companion, Tucker; siblings, Dale (Joanie) Edmondson of Atlanta, Ga and Sherryl (Mike, deceased) Graham of Morris; Uncle Pickle’s nieces and nephews, Carrie (Dan) Hamilton and their children, Kendall, Kaitlyn and Kinsley, Bill Graham and his children, Aiden and Ava, and Tracy Graham and other nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Grace Lutheran Church or Lightways Hospice.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig Benson officiating. Interment will follow in Aux Sable Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Military honors will be provided by the Morris Color Guard.
