Donald Black
Age 70 of Wilmington, passed away Wednesday November 8, 2006 at Embassy Care Center in Wilmington.
Born January 17, 1936 in Clarksville, Tennessee, Donald was a son of the late Will and Myrtle (Armstrong) Black. He was employed by Ball Glass Co. in Plainfield before he retired and Donald was a member of Island City Baptist Church and G.M.P. Local #12.
Survivors include four loving daughters: Donelda (David) Jackson of Joliet, Connie (Dennis) Cline and Kathy (Fred) Smalley, both of Wilmington and Cindy (Rich) Long of Joliet. Six grandsons, three great grandsons and two great granddaughters. One brother Hatton (Odessa) Black of Tennessee and two sisters: Orlee (Fred) Grant of Ohio and Jean Harvey of Godley.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn, five sisters and two brothers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 11, 2006 from 9:00AM until time of funeral service 11:00AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Rev. Ron Taylor from Island City Baptist Church will officiate and burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
