Dolores Herubin

Age 91 of Morris passed away Friday, May 20, 2016 at Morris Hospital.

Born February 15, 1925 in Aurora, Dolores Ann was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Maude Putty-Frederick.  She was raised and educated in Aurora, and married the late John Alexander Herubin, who passed away in 1989. Dolores was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Morris, will be remembered as an employee of Walmart for 24 years until she retired at the age of 84.  She was a wonderful seamstress, and had a knack for crafting with fabrics.  Dolores was an avid bridge player, and had a passion for shopping.  She was an active person that was always on the go and will be missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her two children: Janet (Ron Heap) Crowley of Morris and Sue (Bob) Coons of Burr Ridge; four grandchildren: Blaine Crowley of San Francisco, California, Kristin Coons of Downers Grove, Carrie (Roger) Liboon of Chicago and Kim Coons-Endsley of Downers Grove ; five great grandchildren: Riley Coons, Landon, Bella, and Beckham Liboon, and Finnigan Coons-Endsley, and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son: Joseph Herubin; and all of her siblings.

Visitation will be Monday May 23, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block east of IL Route 47), in Morris.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday May 24, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 600 East Jackson Street, in Morris, with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating.  Burial will follow mass in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Morris.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dolores’ memory to Immaculate Conception School.
