Dixie Lee Swor

Dixie Lee Swor, 80, of Morris, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2023 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Dixie is the daughter of Rose and James Cameron. She was born on November 8th, 1943 in Morris. She was part of the MCHS graduating class of 1962.
She married her loving husband, Gary Swor, on June 10th, 1961. They resided in Morris where they raised their two daughters Tawnie (Donald) Tondini and Wendy (John) Williamson of Morris.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose and James Cameron and three siblings, Anthony Cameron, James Cameron, and Mary Shannon.
She is survived by her husband Gary Swor, two daughters Tawnie (Donald) Tondini and Wendy (John) Williamson, Donald Cameron of Streator, IL, and Patricia Shook of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Dixie was a devoted and loving grandmother to her four grandchildren: Dacia (Misael) Cobarrubias, Ryan (Jade) Tondini, Lauren (David) Mantey, and Carly (Kyle) Monk.
She was also blessed with six great grandchildren who were the light of her life: Gabriel and Michael Cobarrubias; Lana, Theo, and Nora Tondini; and Samuel Mantey.
A private funeral service for the family will be held Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024 at Fruland Funeral Home, 121 West Jefferson Street in Morris with Reverend Dr. Roy Backus officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
