Diana Dee McKinley
Age 65 of Ava, Missouri and formerly Coal City, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at her home.
Born February 15, 1943 in Chicago, Diana was a daughter of Wallace W. Ames, Sr. of Theodosia, MO and the late Elizabeth (Bootz) Ames.
After moving to Ava, Missouri in 1996 from the Coal City area, Diana was a counselor with the Epilepsy Foundation of America. She also volunteered for the Heart of The Hills Food Harvest in Ava and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ava, Missouri.
Survivors include her father Wallace W. Ames, Sr. of Theodosia, Missouri; two brothers, Wallace (Jackie) Ames, Jr. of Mattoon, Illinois and Gerald (Maggie) Ames of Theodosia, Missouri; a step-son, Elliott R. (Deborah) McKinley of Springfield, Illinois and several nieces & nephews
Diana was preceded in death by her mother and husband, John M. McKinley in 1996
A celebration of Diana's life will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Ava, Missouri with Rev. Wayne Stroschein officiating.
Inurnment will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be made as gifts in Diana's memory to Heart of The Hills Food Harvest in Ava, Missouri or to the Ava Senior Center.
