Diana Kay Carreno (nee Hampton)

Age 58 of Godley and formerly of Plainfield, passed away Friday February 12, 2010 at Walnut Grove Rehabilitation Center in Morris.

Born September 2, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, Diana is a daughter of Martha Adams-Hampton of Minooka and the late Hershel Hampton. Diana was raised and educated in Plainfield, and graduated from Plainfield High School with the class of 1969. She worked as a hairdresser and was most recently employed at Harrah's Casino in Joliet as a Hospitality Operator. Diana loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother: Martha Hampton of Minooka; three children: Aleshia (Leo) Reyes of Godley, Terra (Phillip) Chapman of Utah and Nicole Carreno of Plainfield; two grandchildren: Brenden and Isabella; one brother: Gary (Robin) Hampton of Minooka; one sister: Belinda Hampton of Godley, and nieces and nephews: Deanna (Dante), Laura, Stephanie (Jeff) and James, as well as her supportive former husband Gabriel Carreno of Texas.

Diana was preceded in death by her father: Hershel Hampton.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 17, 2010 from 4:00PM until time of Memorial and Remembrances at 6:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris.

Private family interment will be in Plainfield Cemetery.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Diana's memory to the American Cancer Society.
