Dennis Michael Watts

Age 71 of Elwood, passed away Saturday December 31, 2011 at his home.

Born April 19, 1940 in Joliet, Dennis was a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth Cushing-Watts. He was raised in Joliet and graduated from Joliet Township High School. Dennis honorably served in the United States Marine Corp, and most recently was employed with Home Depot in Shorewood.

Survivors include two daughters: Cheryl Lynn Watts of Wisconsin and Michelle Watts of Channahon; three grandchildren: Jeff, Joshua and Dakota; three great grandchildren: Aiden, Kaitlyn and Nathan and six brothers and sisters: Roberta (James) Kirin, Charles Watts and John Watts, all of California, Norrine Wirth of Elwood, Kevin Watts of Texas and Brian Watts of Wisconsin, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother Harry Watts and Sister Mary Elizabeth Watts.

The family will receive friends on Monday January 9, 2012 from 1:00PM until time of services 1:30PM at Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Committal services and full military honors will follow in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at 2:30PM.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dennis' memory to the Homer Fund of The Home Depot, 621 Brook Forrest Drive, Shorewood, Illinois 60404.
