Deborah Kay Crescenti a�" Shepherd
"Debi"
Age 51 of Wilmington, passed away after a courageous battle, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday February 02, 2008 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born February 28, 1956 in Hawthorne, California, Debi was a daughter of the late Harry Walter Hartley and Norma June Clark. She was a graduate of Joliet East High School with the Class of 1974 and on December 31, 2007, Debi married her loving companion of more than 11 years, Curt Shepherd in the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington. Debi worked as a Realtor for over 22 years with Pro Real Estate, where she was the office manager for 17 years. Aside from real estate, Debi also worked as a bookkeeper and performed accounting services for several local businesses. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Wilmington, involved with the Nurture Committee, and was a member of the National Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and Tri-County / Will-Grundy Board of Realtors. In her free time Debi enjoyed knitting, fishing and the outdoors, and traveling out West, especially to the mountains. She loved to spend time with family and friends and especially cherished her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband Curt Shepherd of Wilmington; two sons: Christopher (Melisa) Crescenti of Minooka and Kevin (Angela) Crescenti of Wilmington; two grandchildren: Haley and Christopher Crescenti; brothers and sisters: Billy Kenneth (Phyllis) Seabolt of Uniontown, AR, Carol Lynn Rebsamen of Atlanta, GA, Robert Scott (Diane) Hartley of Idaho Falls, ID, Toni Teresa (Terry) Grandon of Alma, AR, Emma Katrinka (Dale) Hurt of Van Buren, AR, Karen Nina (Ray) Meachum of Cedar Hill, TX and Daniel Ray Seabolt of Uniontown, AR; special aunt and uncle: Carolea and Leon Preskitt of Highridge, MO; four uncles: Albert Clark, Johnny Clark and Coleman Clark, all of Florida and Gene Hartley of AR; one aunt Lynne Hartley of AR and her special mother-in-law Peggy Shepherd, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Debi was preceded in death by her parents, step father Billy Ray Seabolt and step mother Judith Ann Hartley and former husband Richard Crescenti.
Visitation will be held on Thursday February 07, 2008 from 4:00PM until time of Memorial Service at 7:00PM at First United Methodist Church, 401 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Rev. David Lagos-Fonseca and Rev. Shirley Pulgar-Hughes will officiate.
A private family interment will follow.
