David Malinowski

David J. Malinowski

Age 63 of Gardner and formerly Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday April 28, 2009 at his home.

Born October 26, 1945 in Chicago, Dave was the son of the late Walter and Helen Lanucha-Malinowski. He was raised and educated in Chicago and was a graduate of Tilden Tech High School. On October 18, 1969 Dave married Patricia Osysko in Chicago and together they resided in Chicago prior to moving to Gardner. Dave was a proud member of the Gardner Lions Club, as well as the Gardner Beautification Committee. In his free time Dave enjoyed gardening, camping and woodworking and was known to be a life long Chicago White Sox fan. Dave also truly loved his toys.

Survivors include his wife Pat; and one sister Ann (Mike) Breier; one nephew Nicholas (Stefanie) Breier, one niece Jennifer Breier and one great nephew Aiden Breier, all of Chicago, as well as his father-in-law Joseph Crnjak of Channahon.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Frances Crnjak and one brother-in-law Leonard Osysko.

Visitation will be held on Saturday May 02, 2009 from 10:00AM until time of funeral service 2:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 203 Liberty Street in Downtown Gardner. Pastor Jan Chandler from Church of Hope will officiate and burial will follow in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.

Preferred memorials in lieu of flowers may be made as gifts in Dave's memory to the Gardner Lions Club or the Gardner Beautification Committee.
