Darren David Maszak

Age 47 of Coal City passed away Friday May 27, 2016 in his home.

Born December 16, 1968 in Joliet, Darren is a son of William Raymond and Marilyn Jean Brandau-Maszak.  He was raised and educated in Coal City and graduated from Coal City High School. Following graduation, Darren gained employment with Seating Concepts in Rockdale, where he was employed for 29 years. He enjoyed fishing, had a strong appreciation for music, and looked forward to snowmobiling season every winter.

Survivors include his parents: William and Marilyn Maszak of Dunnellon, Florida; one sister: Laurie (David Dobbs) Weilbacher of Bourbonnais; and his niece and nephew: Abigail and Colin Weilbacher.

Darren was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.

Cremation rites have been accorded, and a visitation will be Wednesday June 8, 2016 between the hours of 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway, in Coal City.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Darren’s memory to the charity of the donor’s choosing.
