Darlene L. Strand (nee Roth)

Age 61 of Morris and formerly Summit, Illinois, passed away Thursday afternoon January 16, 2014 at her home.

Born August 20, 1952 in Elmhurst, Darlene was a daughter of the late Albert Anthony and Angelina Frances Scacco-Roth. She was raised in Stickney and was a 1970 graduate of Morton West High School in Berwyn.

Survivors include her daughters: Terri (Mark) Knight of Morris and Gannette Strand; nine grandchildren: Nicholas, Thomas, Jason, Michael, Alexis, Sommer, Allizabeth, Skylar and Naturel; her twin sister Joann (James) Specht of Chicago and brother Wayne A. (Roseann) Roth of Crystal Lake, as well as three nephews and one niece: Scott Roth, Jason Roth, Brian Specht and Jennifer Specht.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Sunday January 19, 2013 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 408 East Washington Street (one block East of Illinois Route 47) in Morris. Funeral services will follow Monday morning at 9:15AM with a procession from the funeral home to Saint Ann Catholic Parish in Channahon, where a 10:00AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Reverend Jeff Stoneberg officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services and inurnment will be held in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.

Pallbearers will be: Nicholas Barragan, Tommy Barragan, Mark Knight, Brian Specht, James Specht and Joe Strand.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Darlene's memory to her family for their distribution.
