Daniel Paul Schexnayder
Age 54 of Custer Park, passed away Tuesday March 11, 2014 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home.
Born July 8, 1959 in Fort Carson, Colorado, Daniel is a son of Lawrence and Jill Scherer-Schexnayder of Morris. He was raised in the Joliet area and on September 17, 1983, Daniel married Sharon Green in Manchester, Maryland. He was currently working security at Exelon in Braidwood, and previously held employment as a garage door serviceman for more than 20 years. Aside from being a member of Christian Faith Center in Wilmington, Daniel was a man of great varied interests. He especially enjoyed World War I airplanes and had a great love of God, and his church.
Survivors include his wife Sharon; five children: Kansas (Adam) Susmilch of Braidwood and Abraham Schexnayder, Josiah (Cynthia) Schexnayder, Cheyenne Schexnayder and Zachariah Schexnayder, all of Custer Park; two grandchildren: Abygail and Mykayla; his parents Lawrence and Jill Schexnayder of Morris; two sisters: Debby (Tom) Rowse of Hoopeston and Sheryl (the late Michael) Kubin of Mokena and one brother David (Barbara) Schexnayder of Winslow, Illinois, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial for Daniel will be held on Saturday March 15, 2014 at 3:00PM in Christian Faith Center, 1800 South Water Street (Illinois Route 102) in Wilmington. Pastor Kurtes Quesinberry will officiate.
