Dana J. Ferrara

Age 59 of Mazon, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Morris Hospital.

Born June 19, 1956 in Bloomington, Illinois, Dana Joseph was a son of the late Dominic Joseph and Marjorie D. (Coyle) Ferrara. He was raised and educated in Mazon and worked for Hicks Gas Company prior to gaining employment with Fisher Auto. Dana enjoyed model cars and trucks, watching professional wrestling and driving.

Survivors include his two sons: Eric (Courtney) Ferrara of Morris and Doug (Tifanie) Ferrara of Mazon; four grandchildren: Zoey, Dane, Emalee and Boyd; one sister Renee (Roger) Haacke of Dwight; two brothers: Richard (Beth) Ferrara and Dale (Carla) Ferrara, both of Morris; his brother-in-law Vernon Arnold of Williford, Arkansas; special friends: Nancy and Kevin Kinzler of Morris and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dana was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Eva Lindemuth and Donna Arnold.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday, December 21, 2015 between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block north of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Funeral services will follow Tuesday morning, December 22nd at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Ed Howe, CR officiating.

Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery, where Dana will be laid to rest with his parents.

Pallbearers will be: Brian Arnold, Dan Edwards, Rik Ferrara, Brett Ferrara, Chad Lindemuth, Cory Lindemuth, Cyle Lindemuth and Cirk Lindemuth.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Dana's memory to his family for their distribution.
