Curtis Duane Dale

Age 76, passed away February 17, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Born December 3, 1933 in Fertile Minnesota, Curtis was a son of the late Emma and Gilbert Dale. He was raised and educated in Fertile and on September 28th, 1953 Curtis married Carol Logan in Ada, Minnesota; they were married for 53 years. Curtis served in the United States Army from 1954-1956, and in the mid 1960's Curtis and Carol moved to Morris, Illinois, where they raised their four children. Curtis was an over-the -road truck driver for most of his life, and retired from Northern Petro-chemical after 20 years of service in 1986. In 1988 Curtis and Carol moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they spent the next 15 years. Curtis and Carol returned to Morris in 2003, and following Carol's death in 2006, Curtis moved back to Las Vegas where he lived with his daughter Lynn and son-in-law Ernie Valerio for the next 4 years. Curtis enjoyed summer vacations in Minnesota with family, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and childhood friends.

Survivors include his four children: Michael "Mick" (Kathy) Dale of Morris, Joan (John) Cornale of Hayward, Wisconsin, Vicky (Robert) Maskel of Minooka, Illinois and Lynn (Ernie) Valerio of Las Vegas Nevada, two grandchildren Brooke (Zach) Buchanan of Fairfield, Illinois and Michael (Kelly) Cornale of Dwight, Illinois, two great-grand children, Danica and Kadden of Fairfield, Illinois. A brother, Donnie (Sylvia) Dale, a sister-in-law June Dale both of Fertile Minnesota, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Curtis was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents Gilbert and Emma Dale, two brothers, Norman Dale and Gilman Dale, and three sisters ; Helen Duckstad, Elaine Lunby and Marion Person.

Cremation rites as requested by Curtis, have been accorded.

Inurnment services for Curtis and Carol will be held in Fertile, Minnesota on a date to be determined.
