Cleo Surman
Age 90 of Wilmington passed away Wednesday October 26, 2016 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.
Born January 24, 1926 in Chester, Illinois, Cleo was a daughter of Harold and Edith Tindall-Grah. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will be remembered for her wonderful cakes that she would bake for all occasions over her many years.
Survivors include her four children: Bob (Vicki) Surman of Morris, and Brenda (Chuck) Begler, Terry (Kim) Surman and John (Maureen) Surman, all of Wilmington; eight grandchildren: Lyndsay (Jeff) Mills of Morris, Christy Begler (Chris Geiss) of Wilmington, Alex Surman of Wilmington, Ty Surman of Wilmington, Jason Begler of Wilmington, Nick (Tonya) Vidito of Morris, Jake (Carrie) Vidito of Morris, Luke (Amanda) Vidito of Morris, Ryan (Katelyn) Foster of Wilmington, and Johnathan, Jessica and Katelyn Mack, all of Wilmington; numerous great grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Grah of Chester, and Dorothy Surman of Crest Hill.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren: C.J. and Alicia Begler; one brother: Jack Grah and sister: Lois Surman.
Cremation rites have been accorded, and a private family memorial will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Cleo’s memory to the Wilmington Foundation for Excellence C.J. Begler Memorial Scholarship.
