Claude Markle

Age 66 and a lifelong resident of Wilmington, Illinois died Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois.

Born March 17, 1958 in Joliet, Illinois, Claude was a son of Thomas Jackson and Minnie Elizabeth (Privette) Markle. He was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1976.

Claude retired from DuPont Chemical Company and also worked throughout the years doing carpentry and remodeling. He enjoyed passing his time in front of the television and took pleasure in his antique car.

Survivors include three children: Johnathan, Jennifer and April; several grandchildren and one brother, Tom (Anne) Markle of Wilmington.

Claude was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
