Clarence Napier

Age 73 of Jackson Tennessee and formerly Wilmington, passed away peacefully in his home in Jackson on November 29th, 2012.

He was born in Breathitt County, Kentucky on January 9, 1939; raised in Knox, Indiana and spent more than 30 years of his adult life as a resident of Wilmington before moving to Jackson, Tennessee. Clarence served a brief time in the Circus as a teenager, and early in his adult life, was enlisted as a member of both the United States Army and Navy. He went on to spend decades working as an electrician for IBEW Local 176 of Joliet. He was an active member of the Mazon Lodge #826 Ancient Free and Accepted Masons. Clarence was a Eucharistic Minister both locally, as well as for St. Mary's Catholic Church in Jackson, and he spent his afternoons working at the Regional Inter-Faith Association (RIFA) Soup Kitchen.

Clarence is survived by his brother Clyde Napier, half sister Linda Kay Ernest, half brothers David and Paul Adams, numerous nieces and nephews, his beloved dog, Rascal and his honorary family, Jeremy and Julie Allott and children.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 36 years, Theresa (LaGesse) Napier and brothers, Eugene and Raymond Napier.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14th from 9:00AM until time of services 11:00AM at Frietag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Masonic rites will be provided by the Mazon Lodge #826, and services officiated by Pastor H. Jae Lee. Inurnment with full military honors will follow at 12:30pm at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
