Clair Taylor

Of Diamond and formerly Coal City, passed away Thursday December 07, 2006 at her home.

Clair is a daughter of Vernon and Jean Vaughn. She was born in Chicago and raised in Berwyn. Clair worked as a realtor for Onorato Real Estate in Coal City for many years, and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her parents: Vernon and Jean Vaughn of Shelby, Alabama; two children: Doug Taylor (a.k.a. Israel Mandrake) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Melissa Taylor of Diamond. Three grandchildren: Storm Chartier, Story Taylor-East and Jordan Mandrake. One sister Theresa (Mike) Ryan of Diamond and three nephews: Mike Ryan, Jr., Nick Ryan and C.J. Elam.

Visitation and video tribute will be held on Monday December 11, 2006 from 3:00PM until time of funeral service 6:30PM at Reeves Funeral Home, 75 North Broadway (one block North of Illinois Route 113) in Coal City. Dr. Thomas Logsdon will officiate and a funeral dinner at the Coal City United Methodist Church will immediately follow the services.

A private family burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
