Chuck Hagel

Age 32 of Wilmington, formerly of Oak Lawn, passed away Tuesday August 16, 2016 at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.

Born September 27, 1983 in Oak Lawn, Charles Raymond is the son of Charles Raymond Hagel, Jr. and Deborah Louise Marchbank. He was raised in Oak Lawn, and later made Wilmington his home. Chuck enjoyed fishing in his spare time, and will be cherished by his family, whom he loved dearly.

Survivors include his parents: Skip Hagel and Debbie Marchbank; seven siblings: Richie Ilkanic of Whiting, Indiana, Mike Ilkanic of Crestwood, Robert Ilkanic of Wilmington, Clifton Ilkanic of Mokena, Katie Ilkanic of Wilmington, Luke Ilkanic of Wilmington, and his “One Blood” Sarah Smith of Wilmington; nieces and nephews: Coby, Bella, Little Richie, Tank, and “Little One” Natalie; and one uncle: Tom Marchbank of Oklahoma.

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents and several uncles.

Visitation will be Saturday August 20, 2016 between the hours of 12:00 p.m. until the time of celebration of life at 5:00 p.m., at Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road, in Wilmington. Cremation rites will be accorded following the celebration.
