Cheryl Carver-Wellington
Age 48 of Knoxville, Tennessee and formerly Wilmington, passed away unexpectedly November 9, 2011 at her home.
Born December 18, 1962 in Joliet, Cheryl is a daughter of Sandra Carver of Maryville, Tennessee and the late James T. Carver. She was raised and educated in Wilmington and graduated from Wilmington High School, as well as Illinois State University. She was a gifted Special Education Teacher for 24 years and touched many, many lives. Cheryl will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her loving partner Elserean Wellington; mother Sandra Carver; father-in-law "Dad": Leonard Wellington; two sisters: Donna (Russ) Stanfield and Susan (Patrick) Mason; nephews: Mike, Paul and Kyle and special niece Kassie, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father James T. Carver on December 31, 2010.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday November 20, 2011 at Unity Church in Knoxville.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Cheryl's memory to the Special Olympics, Illinois State Headquarters, 605 East Willow Street, Normal, Illinois 61761-2682.
