Cheryl E. Stout
Age 65 of Denham Springs, Louisiana and formerly Wilmington, went home to be with the Lord in on December 31, 2010 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after a long illness.
Cheryl was a graduate of Wilmington High School with the Class of 1963; attended Eastern Illinois University where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education in 1967 and attended Joliet Junior College, where she graduated in 1986 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Cheryl worked for many years at St. Joseph Hospital in Joliet and was the Health Manager at Job Corps in Joliet. Her last position before her illness was at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Survivors Include her daughter Kerri (Robert) Bennett and one grandson Dakota Bennett of Denham Springs, Louisiana; her mother Mary B. Stout and sister Glenda Stout, both of Coal City; aunt Glenoid Gregory of Denham Springs, Louisiana and best friend Linda Brickey of Braceville, Illinois.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father Glenn A. Stout and grandparents: Paul and Clarice Brockhouse and John and Cora Stout.
Cremation rites have been accorded and the family will receive friends Saturday January 8, 2011 from 9:30AM until time of Memorial Service 10:00AM at the Freitag-Reeves & Baskerville Funeral Home, 700 East Kahler Road in Wilmington. Reverend Andrew Morton will officiate and inurnment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Wilmington.
