“Chuck”

Age 40 of Wilmington passed away Saturday March 4, 2017 in Romeoville.

Born June 10, 1976 in Kankakee, Charles Leo is the son of Charles, Sr. and Sylvia (nee Shackelford)  Neese. He was raised and educated in Wilmington, and graduated from Wilmington High School with the Class of 1994. Chuck was a proud member of Laborer’s Local 75, and enjoyed spending his time outdoors. He liked to camp, and looked forward to deer hunting season or to go fishing by the Kankakee River Dam. Chuck was a well-liked man who would go out of his way to help others, and was a good father who cared deeply about his family.

Survivors include his parents: Charles and Sylvia Neese; four children: Charles Leo Neese III, Cloey Neese, Hunter Neese and David Neese; one grandchild: Bentley Neese; four sisters: Sherry Williams, Sylvia Byerley, Jeannie Neese and Stacey (Kip) Buzzard; niece and nephews: Kyle Williams, Martina Neese and Damon Ward, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Chuck was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his niece: Kayla Hope Williams.

Per Chuck’s wishes, flameless cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be a celebration of Chuck’s life at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Chuck's memory to: Wilmington Coalition for a Healthy Community, 1095 South Water Street, Suite F, Wilmington Illinois 60481. Please specify that donations are being made in remembrance of Charles L. Neese, Jr. towards the fight against heroin abuse in Wilmington.
