Cecelia M. Barry
Age 92 of Irving, Texas and formerly Wilmington, passed away peacefully Thursday November 13, 2008 at the Pecan Manor.
Born December 3, 1915 in Pana, IL Cecelia was a daughter of the late John and Anna Paus-Mano. She worked in the secretarial field in both Detroit and Chicago and was employed at the Joliet Arsenal for many years. Cecelia was a former member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where she was involved with the Altar and Rosary Society and St. Rose Mothers Club. She was an avid reader, loved to crochet and greatly enjoyed her family.
Survivors include four loving children: Tina (Daniel) Czernik of Willowbrook, IL and Marie Theobold, and Rick (Carmen) Barry, of Texas and Edward (Jean) Barry. (7) Grandchildren; (7) Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Friday November 21, 2008 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM and Saturday November 22nd from 9:00AM until 9:30AM at Reeves Funeral Home, 219 North Joliet Street (two blocks North of Illinois Route 53 / Baltimore Street) in Wilmington. Funeral services will follow on Saturday at 10:00AM in St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Rev. Steve Bondi and Deacon Don Dyer officiating.
Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington.
Preferred memorials may be made as gifts in Cecelia's memory to Kuzma Care Cottage in Wilmington.
