Catherine E. Sullivan

Age 87, formerly of Wilmington, passed away Thursday afternoon at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home in Joliet.

Catherine was born August 18, 1919, in Savanna, Illinois, the daughter of Irene (Lahey) and J. Frank Sullivan. She attended and graduated from schools in Savanna, Illinois, also graduated from Mount St. Clare College, Clinton, Iowa in 1939, and Lewis University, Lockport, Illinois, in December, 1972, with a B.A. degree. She taught school three years at Daggetts and worked for the Federal Government 30 years, retiring June 1972. She also worked for the First National Bank, Wilmington, Illinois for 4 1/2 years and was a bookkeeper for Dr. Gordon Richards for 4 1/2 years. She was a past Grand Regent of Father Antl Court Catholic Daughters of America, Savanna, Illinois, also past State Monitor for the State of Illinois Court, Catholic Daughters of America. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Council of Catholic Women, Wilmington, Illinois.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 22, 2007 between the hours of 4:00PM and 8:00PM at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, 1201 Wyoming Avenue in Joliet. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday January 23, 2007 at 10:00AM in the Our Lady of Angels Chapel, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated with Fr. Benet Fonck officiating.

Burial will be in Saint John The Baptist Cemetery in Savanna, Illinois.
