Carol V. Knutson

Carol V. Knutson, 94 of Rock Island, IL and formerly of Atkinson, IL, passed away Thursday morning June 27, 2024 at Friendship Manor in Rock Island.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6th, at the Saratoga Cemetery in Morris, IL.
Carol (Hagen) Knutson was born on January 10, 1930, in Morris, IL, the daughter of Ole Hagen and Alphina (Olson) Hagen. She graduated from Newark High School with the Class of 1948.
Carol married Wesley Knutson on March 26, 1949 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Morris, IL. They owned a veterinary practice in Alpha, IL for several years and later in Minooka, IL. Thy retired in 2005 and move to Atkinson, IL.
Survivors include her loving sister Nancy (Al) Bahr of Sugar Grove, IL; four children, Dale (Jan) Knutson of Rio, IL, Cheryl (Micheal) Barr, Daryl (Teresa) Knutson of Davenport, IA, Alan (Julie) Knutson of Waterloo, IA; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was her husband Wesley; her parents; and one brother-in-law.
Carol was known for being an AVID ILLINI FAN, especially basketball, and could be found cheering her team on whenever they were on the radio or television.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.
